Web Security
Securing our on-line information seems to be at the forfront of all our thoughts when we are on-line these days. There are so many cases of identy theft that we are even becoming paranoid, and rightfully so, about being careful about our personal information.

We at Cash Ciity USA are just as concerned as you are about the security of your personal inforamtion. We have put a great deal of money and effort into keeping your information secure and safe from prying eyes. Let us explain some of the general points about Internet security.

What We Do to Secure Your Information
When you are on-line, you are transmitting data between your computer (client) and the Web Server (server). There are programs that will do what is called sniffing. They basically monitor the information going between the client and server machines and pick up anything they want to use. Most information is open to the public and doesn't matter if it is monitored. However, your personal information is different. When we are in the customer area of our web site, we switch from the regular web server to a "Secured" web server. This "Secured" web server encrypts all the information that is transmitted so that even when it is monitored, it just looks like a bunch of garbled mess. Coded values that are quite impossible to de-encrypt without the proper key. This key is huge, about a half a page worth of text if you were to look at it, and it is the only way that another person could decypher your information.

How You Can Tell if Your Information is Secure
The technology that we use here at Cash City USA is the same technology that all the major banks and credit cards sites use on their own sites. No matter what site you are on, if they are asking for personal information such as your address, bank account numbers, social security numbers, etc, make sure your browser is displaying the symbol that specifies a secure site. Both Internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox display a locked gold pad lock on the lower right corner of the browser.

Internet Explorer will show: IE Explorer Lock Symbol

Mozilla FireFox will show:FireFox Lock Symbol

If the page is NOT secured, the little gold pad lock will not be visible.
